Electronic Pump Control

Electronic pump controls are offered as an option on all units below 450 HP and as standard equipment on SC-3 units above 450 HP.  Electronic pump controls offer the following advantages...

• No mechanical linkage between cab and auxiliary pump compartment to bind or freeze during cold weather
• Pump protection through controlled ramp up and ramp down.  Pump is slowly brought on stroke (approximately 40 seconds) and slowly brought off-line to prevent rapid pressure surges.
• Engine protection against overspeed.  Since ramp rate is controlled, de-stroking the pump will  not result in overspeed of system.
• Ramp rate is constant regardless of rate of movement of the lever.
• Emergency stop of pump is also available.

Fall On Protection System (FOPS)

The Fall on Protection System gives additional protection to the cab of the excavator against falling limbs or trees.  We have two documented cases of an excavator actually being supported by the FOPS canopy after a roll over of the machine.  Made of 4 X 4 X 3/8" tubing, the FOPS canopy is tied directly to the excavator sub-frame.  The FOPS system includes hinged, removable grating on the front of the machine to protect operator and glass from large debris.  This safety feature is very highly recommended and a signed waiver of responsibility is required for omission of the FOPS.

Hydraulic Instrumentation Options

Standard instrumentation package consist of (5) gauges and (4) warning lights.  This provides complete monitoring of the system, while giving most, if not all of the information required for troubleshooting the equipment in the field.

Gauges include

        -Inlet suction (gives ample notice of clogged screen in tank)

        -Charge pressure

        -System pressure

        -Return pressure

        -Hydraulic temperature

In cab warning lights include...

        -Low hydraulic quantity

        -High hydraulic temperature

        -Charge filter by pass

        -Return filter by pass

Because of this complete array of gauges and warning lights, your system is not only monitored, but also, can be troubleshot in many cases via mobile phone.  Complete gauging of hydraulics is highly recommended for this high performance equipment.
